A new (gorgeous) trailer for the Guillermo del Toro-produced animated feature, The Book Of Life was released today - what do you think? We think it looks pretty dang amazing! Scheduled for release on October 17th - just in time for the Day of the Dead!

This show has been five years in the making according to the executive producers, some of whom worked on the LOTR movies and other well known franchises - and it is reflected in every detail of the setting, the costuming, the characters and the animatronic monsters that interact with the 12 heroic paladins that must compete to become the one true hero in the land of Everealm.
The show is filmed in Austria using an authentic castle and the surrounding lands that take you back into that distant time. The show is filled with cast and crews who are dressed and act appropriately as the populace of the town so that it is a realistic as possible for the contestants and to the audience.  If you are a fan of the medieval times or fantasy worlds that adopt that as their backdrop then you will enjoy the scenery, the costumes and the premise of this new reality show on ABC. A few of us went out and saw Guardians of the Galaxy on Thursday night to bring you our initial impressions of this new Marvel superhero space epic before the big weekend. 
Heather: I think what I enjoyed most about this movie was it truly an ensemble... we got to know each of the characters - and of course I'm sure everyone will have their favorite - but each of the characters had a purpose and part in the space opera that made sense. Peter Quill: I look around and you know what I see? Losers!... Heather: BTW, that was part of an inspirational speech... And finally the reason we all want to be a hero like Kevin Bacon... Gamora: I'm a warrior, an assassin. I don't dance. |
