But rumors at Disney are swirling that they intent to reboot Indian frickin' Jones, starring Starlord himself.

Umm... no.

Everyone just stop rebooting my childhood.
Just my opinion.

What's yours?

The long awaited casting news for the Kevin Fieg-led Ghostbusters film with an all-female cast is here!
Picture
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Melissa McCarthy, who was already in talks for one of the leads, has signed on for the reboot, and the studio is now negotiating with Kristen Wiig, as well as Saturday Night Live players Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.

McCarthy and Wiig have worked with Feig before, both breaking out with the director’s Bridesmaids comedy, so Wiig's participation is likely. We'll see about the other two getting locked in, but filming is rumored to start this summer in NYC!

What do you think?

Personally I love the original, it is sacred - and a reboot isn't really necessary IMHO, but more female led-movies are good too...

Gotham: Welcome Back, Jim Gordon

Of course this week's episode opens with Fish Mooney seeming about to get her come-uppance.  Things don't look good for Fish as she's hauled into an apparent torture chamber in chains - but of course, things rarely go according to plan in Gotham!  Just as she's about to be (literally) broken, Butch comes to her rescue - and they're off to seek vengeance on Penguin.
Meanwhile, Jim Gordon is back on the force, and he discovers an odd clue in the heel of a murdered drug dealer's shoe.  He and Bullock find a witness and bring him down to the station to work with an artist to draw a sketch of the suspect.

He turns to Penguin for help, rightly suspecting that the dirty cop behind the witness' murder has ties to the underworld.  Penguin, high on his recent victory over Fish Mooney, is only to happy to comply, but of course Gordon's insistence that no one be hurt during this "investigation" falls on deaf ears.
But while the witness is waiting for the artist, he is stabbed in the back.  Gordon is ordered to stop hassling other cops and the case is handed over to Internal Affairs, who promptly classify the death as a suicide.  Gordon is understandably displeased.

This week's episode also brings the return of young Master Bruce.  Recently returned from Switzerland, he's desperately searching for Cat - but she's not nearly as happy to see him, and denies having seen who killed his parents after all.  He's crushed, but after she leaves (and he weeps by the fireplace for a while) he vows to keep searching for the killer.
Penguin is dancing about Fish's nightclub, drinking champagne and dreaming of the day when it will be his - when who should pop in but Fish and Butch.  It appears he might be about to meet his demise when Victor shows up, hungry as always for a kill.  Fish escapes and calls an unexpected ally to take her to the docks, where she vows to return one day.
Last but not least, Gordon is able to use the evidence obtained by Penguin's henchman to apprehend the dirty cop, who is stunned when the Captain sides with Jim.  Gordon's glee quickly turns to horror, however, when he is accosted by the man who handed the evidence over under duress, begging Gordon on his knees to spare the lives of his wife and children.

NEWS FLASH - David Tennant is the Purple Man

Netflix original Marvel series AKA Jessica Jones, starring Krysten Ritter, has found it villain! David Tennant has been tapped to play the purple-skinned mind-control baddie who is a critical character in shaping the center of who Jessica Jones is - and why she quit being a superhero...

It's rare to see Tennant play a true baddie, but if anyone has ever seen Secret Smile - well then you know he can get down-right vile.

Knowing the background of Jessica Jones and Zebediah Kilgrave (Purple Man) - I'm not so sure I'm happy seeing my favorite Doctor in that 'shade' of villainy...

Don't get me wrong Viola Davis is a fantastic actress, so this is meant as no slight to her...

...But what the hell does Tatiana Maslany have to do to win an major American acting award - play ALL the Orphan Black characters and not just 90% of them?
Anyway, here are the winners from last night. Special shout outs to J.K. Simmons for Whiplash, the cast of Birdman and Eddie Redmayne for his amazing turn as in Stephen Hawking The Theory of Everything.

As for presenters, here's my favorite moment of the night...
