***SPOILERS***

OK - I waited through the weekend so everyone could catch up on their DVRs and such to review the season 3 premiere of Arrow. My initial review - Holy Crap!

This season comes out of the gate swinging. It is a roller coaster of getting everything you ever wanted to see on the show and then having it yanked from our grasp.
Picture
Team Arrow is busting bad guys left and right - with Laurel in the DA's office locking them up. New Captain Lance publicly acknowledges The Arrow as a hero of the city.

Oliver and Felicity finally go on a date! Then BOOM. Restaurant gets blown up - it is 'too dangerous' to date Felicity anymore. Damn it Oliver! You are an idiot.

Oliver is going to get his company back! Nope. New guy Ray Palmer swoops in and steals the company (and tries to steal Felicity.)

BTW - Porcupine farts. What fantastic revenge... I love Felicity so much.

In other plot points, we get a small peek into the Hong Kong flashbacks and begin to understand why Oliver hates Whaler so much - she is one manipulative B*.

And Diggle's baby is born, and the new dad is all mush and muscles.
Roy kicks ass.

His Arsenal costume kicks ass.

My husband wanted to make sure I put this in the review.

It is always fantastic to have Peter Stormare on any show - he is a spectacular villain. Bringing him in as the new Count Vertigo was a bit of a disappointment - as was the more-than-blatant rip-off of the Scarecrow formula from Batman Begins. But, we did get a great Ollie vs. Arrow fight sequence out of it, so I'll let it slide.
Canary returns on a special mission!

And.... then she is killed.
Yup. Really truly dead.

Three black arrows to the chest and a several story fall off a building.
Who killed her? Why was she back in Starling city?

I'm guessing that will be the big mystery for at least the first half of the season.

This show seems to be only getting better and will keep you guessing where it is going next - and I am so along for the ride!
