OK, so a little longer, here are some thoughts (with minimal spoilers)
It is so great to see Simmons standing on her own and getting the job done.
And Skye - she is taking her Mini-May training to heart and kicking ass.
I love the small moments with Clark Gregg - there is a reason Coulson is such a fan favorite - and it is all him. The dinner scene was so sweet.
Fitz. My dear, sweet Fitz. Iain De Caestecker's performance in the scene where he faces off with Ward is amazing, heartbreaking and authentic.

 | The creepy calm of the new big bad, Dr. Whitehall and his 'clockwork orange' brainwashing machine adds a bit of suspense to the season, knowing that any of our 'good guys' could turn if caught in his clutches. (Watch out Simmons!) |
Ward's revelation to Skye about wanting to take her to her Dad may have shook up Skye - but was no surprise to the audience and provided the only really flat scene in an otherwise stellar episode.
