 | Early this year our local geeky book club pick was The Magicians by Lev Grossman. It spawned a very lively debate over brunch about unlikable heroes, hard core magic systems and world building, and how to walk the line between originality and creating a rip-off of Narnia meets Harry Potter with booze and boobs. The Magicians is all these things, and it is spectacular in both its successes and its flaws. We are SO excited that SyFy is adaptation it as a TV series. This first look trailer has only made us MORE excited! |
