So you are virtually standing around the break room, still half waking up to start a new week.  Rather than pretend to be interested in your co-workers' weekend activities - start up a nice chat (with a side of caffeine) to get your neurons firing!

In classic Linda Richman SNL fashion, we'll give you a topic:
What is the most underrated sci-fi or fantasy movies that you like? Discuss.

We will even get you started...

Lindsey: Push is in my top ten, but most people have never heard of it. Dakota Fanning and Chris Evans were in it. It's everything I ever wanted X-Men to be...

Lauren: I thought I was the only one who owned that movie!
Annie: I thought the movie Chronicle was really good and possibly underrated. It made super powers realistic and those super powers highlighted the flaws and struggles of the main characters.

Lauren: Agreed. If you can get past the POV camera thing, it is one of the best superhero/villain 'origin stories' I've ever seen.

Annie: Equilibrium is another good underrated or forgotten about sci-fi flick. Basically Christian Bale + 1984.

Meghan: Seconded! Equilibrium is legit good. Well, good in that turn-of-the-century scifi sense. And it turns really badass towards the conclusion. (Turn-of-the-millenium?)

Lauren: Didn't it come out around the same time and The Matrix? It had a similar look in the commercials, so I think a lot of people thought it was a rip off. But the story is TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Wasn't it also one of the first western movies to use 'gun-kata' as a fighting technique?

Annie: And CB's character saves the puppy. It definitely gets to a "if that dog dies we're shutting this movie off" moment.
What would you add to the list?!
