Jessica Jones, one of four Marvel/Netflix original series, is about a former superhero, Jewel (who could fly and has super strength) who after being controlled and tortured by a supervillan, suffers from severe PTSD and hangs up her proverbial 'mask and cape.' She becomes a private detective, still helping people and other superheros while she deals with her personal issues.
Jessica Jones also has close ties in the comics with Daredevil, Luke Cage and SHIELD, so series crossovers are an exciting possibility.
