Only two episodes remain in the first season of Gotham, and suspense is building as we approach the season finale.
Selina and Bruce argue over the death of the man who attacked Alfred, and she finally swears him to absolute secrecy regarding the murder in exchange for helping him break into a safe in Wayne Enterprises. In return, he invites her to an annual charity ball and buys her an outfit that makes me want to cut my hair and attempt to cosplay her at an upcoming Con.
Don Maroni visits Oswald's and breaks the bad news to Penguin's mother - her son is not a legitimate businessman running a night club, but rather a psychopathic killer. This, of course, fanned the flames of Penguin's need for vengeance, as he can't bear to have his supposedly sainted mother think of him as anything less than perfect.
I've been wondering all season how poor, pathetic Ed Nygma will become The Riddler - and we finally got a glimpse of the darkness inside his head tonight, when he seeks to defend the honor (and safety) of his love interest, Kristen Kringle, and ends up killing the boyfriend who had been beating her. Will Miss Kringle reject his heroism, thus turning him to the dark side for good?
Gordon and Bullock are searching for the identity of The Ogre, especially after he attempts to run them down in an alley and then calls Gordon at the station to taunt him. They succeed in finding his father, who shows them a picture of his disfigured son who could hardly be a lothario - but then they learn he's had extensive plastic surgery. With the new villain's backstory firmly in place, we know he will be seeking his vengeance on Gordon; but his information is a little out-of-date, and he is targeting Barbara instead of Lee.
Barbara is a much easier target, and The Ogre's smooth facade wins her over quite easily...
