Oh, Gotham, how I’ve missed you! Your brooding heroes (and antiheroes), your villainesses with fantastic style, and even the somewhat maudlin young Master Bruce. But now that the holidays are over, we’re back in business, and it’s so good to be back.
But creepy crimes committed against criminals aren’t the only thing raising Gordon’s blood pressure this week - is it just me, or did he have some serious chemistry with Dr. Leslie Thompkins, who came to visit the infirmary from the women’s wing?
The crimes inside the asylum were awful, as was the attitude of Gordon’s new supervisor. Someone is experimenting with a crude form of electroshock, and no one can agree on whether the perpetrator is an inmate or a staffer. Fortunately Gordon’s old partner, Harvey Bullock, is just a phone call away. |
In between, we find out that Barbara has been shacking up with her former lover, who has declared her toxic and asked her to leave; imagine her surprise when she calls her old apartment hoping to talk to Jim and finds herself chatting with a nubile young female instead. Poor Barbara - how is she to know it’s just Ivy Pepper, answering the phone while Selena Kyle makes her tea in Gordon’s empty apartment? Teen trespassers can be so silly.
Meanwhile, one of Falcone’s lieutenants tries to turn Fish Mooney’s right hand man against her. You can imagine how well that goes.

No Gotham next week, but tune in two weeks from tonight for more new Gotham! Maybe we’ll check in with Bruce Wayne then, and find out what he and Alfred have been up to…
