This week's episode of Gotham was intense, to say the least. Let's walk through it in pictures:
There's a gang of bank robbers in town, and one of them decides to mix it up with a red hood - could this be the beginnings of the illustrious (or notorious) Red Hood Gang? The original gang of robbers meets their end in various ways throughout the episode, but the hood seems to have taken on a life of its own...
Selina and Ivy are still staying with Barbara, who attempts to convince Selina that her physical beauty can be used as a weapon. You can see the wheels turning in Cat's head (perhaps the seeds of a future seductive costume have been planted?) but she brilliantly replies, "What good has that done you?"
Penguin and Butch seem to be playing nicely together, in an effort to save Oswald's from certain doom. Butch helps Penguin refresh the club's liquor supply when Marcone attempts to cut him off, and when Penguin asks if he misses Fish Mooney, he merely replies that she got what she deserved.
Speaking of Fish, she got her meeting with the people upstairs - and that took a shocking turn that I don't think anyone expected! Let's just say that when she does get back to Gotham, Fish will be sporting some new eyewear.
And finally, Alfred and Master Bruce have a guest at Wayne Manor this week - an old friend of Alfred's, who seems to be running from his ghosts. We do get a small glimpse into Alfred's past, but this visit is less than benign - in the end, we find Bruce and Jim Gordon at Alfred's bedside in the hospital, and the board of Wayne Enterprises is plotting against young Bruce.
Five episodes remain in the first season of Gotham. I can't wait to see what the coming weeks will bring!
