On the Colbert Report last night, Marvel's Joe Quesada announced that in the comics, Sam Wilson, AKA The Falcon, will be taking up the mantle of Captain America!
Recently, in the comics, Steve Rogers has lost his super soldier serum abilities and has aged approximately 65 years. Rather than leave the country with out a Cap, his partner Sam takes up the shield and becomes Captain America. So, in 2 days we have a female Thor and a black Captain America. Is this progress - or pandering diversity to be more 'politically correct?' Sound off in the comments!
