There has been a lot of chatter, controversy and excitement lately surrounding Gal Gadot and her upcoming feature film portrayals of Wonder Woman. But today we take a look back and serve tribute to the original Wonder Woman, LYNDA CARTER. 
 We dedicate the mid-week column to everything 'WTF,' because a good rant can get you through the rest of the week.

I our new Monday column, we 'mourn the passing' of beloved characters or shows over the last week... This week, we mourning the passing of season 2 of the always fantastic, ORPHAN BLACK! ******SPOILERS AFTER THE JUMP**********  Urban Dictionary defines a fangirl as "a rabid breed of human female who is obsessed with either a fictional character or an actor." I can't disagree with that definition, though I don't think I would be reduced to the "groping and tackling" that are referenced later in the definition - I'm more of an "admiring and ogling" girl myself!
Let's dedicate this first Fangirl Friday to a geek icon who is an unabashed fanboy himself - John Barrowman! Today we honor the heroes and Geek Girls that have come before us. For our inaugural honoree we have chosen Nichelle Nichols!
