***Contains spoilers if you haven't caught up - after the break***
Arrow (Wednesdays at 8pm on the CW, Premieres 10/8/14)
We've gone on and on about this show, so I'll be quick. Slade's in jail on the Island, Thea ran off with 'daddy dearest' (Malcolm Merlyn), Canary has gone back to the League of Assassins, Diggle's going to be a father, and Detective Lance is having a heart attack. Oh, and Oliver's flashbacks move from the Island to Hong Kong to explore why he and Waller hate each other so much.

John Barrowman has been promoted to series regular and the guest cast for Season 3 includes Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable), the Atom/Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Wildcat/Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez), Cupid (Carrie Cutter), Captain Boomarang (Nick Tarabay), Felicity's mother (Charlotte Ross), Maseo (Karl Yune), Katana (Rila Fukushima), a new Count Vertigo (Peter Stormare), Felicity's college ex (Nolan Funk) and Mark Shaw/Manhunter (David Cubitt). Also, watch out for crossover events with spin-off The Flash!
AHS: Freak Show (Wednesdays at 10pm on FX, Premieres 10/8/14)
The American Horror Story anthologies have been phantasmagorical to say the least. Murder House, Asylum and Coven have all made me sleep with the lights on at some point. Freak Show may be the most creeptastic of them all - if this trailer featuring a nasty clown is any indication. The cast is always fantastic, chilling and worth the watch - even peaking through your fingers...

Nope. Just Nope.
The 100 (Wednesdays at 9pm on the CW, Premieres 10/22/14)
I don't watch this show, but I figured it was worth mentioning for anyone who is keeping track of the overall schedule.
Haven (Wednesdays at 8pm on SyFy, Premiered 9/11/14)
Ditto.

The Vampire Diaries (Thursdays at 8pm on the CW, Premieres 10/2/14)
I broke up with this show half way through last season, so I have no idea what is going on, but it is still going on!

Elementary (Thursdays at 10pm on CBS, Premieres 10/30/14)
There is room in my heart for both Sherlock and this version of Mr. Holmes' adventures. Everything about this show shouldn't work - Sherlock in a modern NYC with a female Watson - but it does. The strength of the regular cast and guest stars (including the glorious Natalie Dormer as Moriarty and Rhys Ifans as Mycroft) make this show not only work, but provides some much needed female empowerment to network TV.

The second season ended with Holmes and Watson on the outs, Mycroft faking his death and going into witness protection, and Sherlock possible falling off the recovery wagon.
New Thursday shows include Gracepoint.
The Legend of Korra (Fridays on Nickelodeon.com, Premieres 10/6/14)
The final book, Balance, brings this series to a close. Left crippled in the final battle against the Red Lotus, Korra retreats home to the Southern Water Tribe, while Tenzen and the new Airbender Nation take over 'policing' the kingdoms on her behalf.

Season three was a spectacular blend of storytelling, character development and bending beauty that has left me wanting more. Here is hoping season four brings a satifying end to this chapter of the Avatar universe.
Grimm (Fridays on NBC at 9pm, Premiering 10/24/14)
Now here's a show we haven't really covered yet on GG Inc. that I love oh, so much. This show brings me back to the days of Buffy and Angel. Good old-fashioned supernatural mayhem and butt-kicking, with a side order of drama and humor.

The season ended with a bang, a brawl and Nick loosing his powers. Captain Renard was shot, an all-out Grimm vs. Wessen throw-down happened at Rosalie and Monroe's wedding, and as a parting gift before leaving town, Adalind posed as Juliette to sleep with Nick and steal his Grimm-ness. The last few episodes of the season brought us a new character, Trubel, a new teen aged Grimm who kicks-ass and takes names. I hope she sticks around for the new season.
New Friday shows include Constantine, and Star Wars Rebels.
