My dad had a fairly geeky streak, but we bonded over shows like Star Trek: TNG - he had no interest in a weird pseudo-intellectual crime show, even if it did star Kyle MacLachlan of Dune fame.
When the movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me came out in 1992, said friend dragged me to the theater to see it with her – and my primary reaction was confusion, as I had no frame of reference for it. I shrugged it off and didn’t think much about it after that.
Off to Netflix I went, and imagine my glee when I found all 30 episodes of the original series just waiting for my perusal! I immediately devoured the pilot (all 90 minutes of it), and now every minute I can spare is dedicated to learning more about the bizarre town of Twin Peaks - and what exactly did happen to the homecoming queen?
And unlike the original series, which left fans hanging, Lynch and Showtime have promised that this run will provide us with a satisfying conclusion to the mysteries of Twin Peaks!
