Look, I understand early stocking at craft stores because making gifts takes a few months, so Christmas stuff at a Michaels or some such, it is OK by me.
But, you know what other stores?!...
OCTOBER = HALLOWEEN
NOVEMBER = THANKSGIVING (until Black Friday)
DECEMBER = CHRISTMAS
These seasons each have their place for festivities, decor, clothing, cards and traditions. Not everyone celebrates each of these holidays, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't each get their due time.
Maybe there wouldn't be so much holiday grumpiness if the barrage of "holiday" songs, decorations, and nonsense only happened for a month instead of starting in October.
So step off, Christmas, I still have a Halloween costume to plan.
