The trailer and commercials have given away practically the whole plot - and probably many of the cool effects sequences - but I still think you should go out and see this movie in the theater. Why, you ask? Because I am sick and tired of hearing that an action movie with a female lead won't sell in Hollywood. Forget the fact that Frozen, with 2 female leads, is the highest grossing animated film. Forget the fact that the biggest franchise out there right now is The Hunger Games. |
We had to beg and plead to get Wonder Woman on the slate for her own movie and that's ridiculous! It's frickin' Wonder Woman! Even Marvel hasn't committed to a female lead movie yet (though they are making some in-roads on TV with Peggy Carter and Jessica Jones.)
