The yearly Electronic Entertainment Expo is the mecca for all the newest greatest games and gaming systems. Unfortunately, the con is industry (and invite) only so we have to stay glued to YouTube to see the various press conferences and new game trailer releases. Here are some of the best trailers we have seen so far... |
There have been trailers for Arkham Knight for what seems like forever, but it is still the game I am most excited about... though this new trailer for the Scarecrow: Nightmare Missions makes it look horrifying! Dreams is a brand-new adventure from Media Molecule, the makers of Little Big Planet and is coming exclusively to PS4. The idea is that you'll be able to paint, sculpt, and build your own world however you see fit for others to explore and get lost in for others. The Last Guardian is a followup to infamously gorgeous ICO and Shadow of The Colossus. Sony showed off the game's rather long, game play trailer, which stars a young protagonist and his guardian friend Trico (who is adorable and fierce and I want one!), as they work together to solve puzzles and escape their city. ReCore is an XBOX ONE EXCLUSIVE from the legendary creator Keiji Inafune and the makers of Metroid Prime. As one of the last remaining humans (a kick ass female protagonist), you forge friendships with courageous robot companions and lead them on an epic adventure through a mysterious, dynamic world. In development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, Unravel is a beautiful platform/puzzle game staring Yarny, a tiny character made of (of course) yarn, as he adventures through what could be your own back yard. Fable Legends is the next adventure in the genre-defining Fable series. It looks as gorgeous as you'd want, and will have all the fantasy battles as you could need - and it will be cross-device multiplayer on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Mass Effect: Andromeda is a first entry to the revamped Mass Effect series. The new game will no longer follow famed lead character, Commander Sheppard, but promises new species, planets, and alien races - as well as an online component. Mad Max: Eye of the Storm continues Max's the story from the new movie release. Expect as much action, gore and amazing attention to visual detail as the movie (though it looks like no Furiosa...), if this trailer is anything to go by. The much-rumoured next-gen remake of Final Fantasy VII is happening!!! Sony and Square-Enix have confirmed the speculation by premiering a Final Fantasy VII cinematic trailer. The game is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2016. From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes South Park: The Fractured but Whole, a sequel to 2014’s award-winning South Park: The Stick of Truth. Players will once again assume the role of the New Kid, and join South Park favorites Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman in a new hilarious and outrageous RPG adventure. Last, but not least, is one of the most cinematically beautiful trailers we've seen so far, Fallout 4. I tell you what, though, NOTHING BETTER HAPPEN TO THAT DOG! There is so much coming out of E3 that we'll be posting more soon!

Forest Whitaker is in negotiations to join the cast of Star Wars stand-alone feature, Rogue One. Other cast members currently include Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn, with Gareth Edwards directing.
New Antman posters tease his future involvement with The Avengers... We know Paul Rudd is in Captain America: Civil War, so this will be sooner rather than later...
We need more kick-ass female directors out there, and with the HUGE success of Pitch Perfect 2, she is now on the front lines of being the next name in directing. The Hollywood Reporter says Banks has her eye focused now on directing a film adaptation of fantasy YA novel, The Red Queen. This would be a huge step up in budget and directing prowess (with all the visual effects) for her, but we think she could CRUSH IT. She clearly has a passion for geeky things, and an understanding on YA adventure from her time acting in The Hunger Games franchise - so we really hope this happens! Novel synopsis: In a world divided by blood color - red for ordinary people, silver for elites with supernatural abilities, a street urchin saves her best friend and is brought before the king and queen. She surprisingly displays special powers during her audience - powers impossible for a red blood. To hide this startling news and to keep her under control, the king invents a past for the young woman as a lost princess and sets her up to marry one of his sons. But the woman soon finds herself conflicted as she becomes part of the silver world while at the same time aiding a group plotting a red rebellion.
There's 104 days of summer vacation, and school comes along just to end it...tomorrow. Beginning in 2007, Disney has brought us more than 200 episodes of Phineas & Ferb, featuring the antics of the dynamic Flynn-Fletcher family, their pet platypus (and secret agent) Perry, and the other residents of the Tri-State Area. The adventures of step-brothers Phineas and Ferb, boy geniuses who generate fantastic creations for their friends and neighbors to enjoy, are the bane of their teen sister Candace's existence, and one can't help but wonder if she will finally get to bust them tomorrow? I wouldn't count on it. But I can't wait to see what excitement The Last Day of Summer will bring, and I'll be looking forward to the special called The O.W.C.A. Files that will air this fall, featuring the further adventures of Perry and his animal agent friends! Disney XD is airing a Phineas & Ferb marathon leading up to the finale, which will be shown on the Disney Channel at 9pm tomorrow.
Sound off in the comments - what was your favorite episode of Phineas & Ferb? If you haven't seen it yet, get thee to Netflix or Disney HD - you won't be disappointed! Chiwetel Ejiofor (who was many people's pick for Black Panther) is joining the Marvel Universe after all. Deadline announced that he will be playing Baron Mordo, a rival/villian character to Benedict Cumberbatch's Dr. Strange in the 2016 feature film release.
X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has confirmed that Evan Peters will again play the part of Peter Maximoff aka Quicksilver. He has released a picture of Evan and another actor against a green screen backdrop suspended from wires and wrote, “Just another day at the office.” SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Here are the only other hints she gave about this mysterious school... I guess we'll have to wait until 2016 to learn more!
